Tea culture is deeply traditional and in some cultures around the world, highly ritualized. It might be a gesture of kindess. A sign of friendship. Or, a ritual of comfort. In Japan a traditional tea ceremony is connected to Zen practices, in British culture it is part of society at every level, and in Turkey offering tea symbolizes friendship and hospitality.
When you walk through our bulk section and see the vast array of loose teas, are you ever curious how some of the more exotic blends taste? A few of you have asked. So we decided to feature a complimentary tea tasting on the first & third Thursday of each month for all of our Co-op friends. Check our event calendar for upcoming dates.
During our Thursday events, we will feature two different tea selections, paired with a sampling of treats from our shelves. Stop by and savor our aromatic brews!
